Administrative Team Purpose
The Administrative Team is the implementation body for CAN
Chair:
- Recommended by Administrative Team Nominating Committee
- Voted on by A-Team membership
- Serves 1-year term (January-December)
- Alternates annually between a private CAN partner & a public CAN partner
Membership:
Executive-level managers from each CAN partner
Term for Members:
Determined by the CAN Partner
Recommended 2 yr. minimum (allowing for consistency)
Meeting Frequency:
First Monday of each month 3:00-4:30pm at United Way Capital Area (exceptions will be noted)
Annual CAN Retreat –held on a Friday in October. ATeam members are expected to attend
Function:
- Advocates for agreed upon CAN strategies by providing leadership, staff support and sponsorship
- Acts as primary implementation body for CAN, focuses on actions and responses
- Provides professional level review and recommendations for action to the Resource Council
- Implements recommendations from the Resource Council
- Supports current and new collaborative efforts
- Analyzes policy for opportunities to collaborate and coordinate
- Consolidates and reconciles various issue area group plans
Member Responsibilities:
- Attends monthly meetings & the CAN retreat
- Promotes an active relationship between their partner organization and CAN; identifying means for agreed upon strategic implementation and methods of resource contributions
- Represents the “face” of CAN at media, press and public events
- Provides leadership and sponsors an area in which they are passionate
- Participates in other CAN sub-committees and standing committees as appropriate
