JOB DESCRIPTION - OUTREACH VOLUNTEER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Become passionate advocates for the clients and attendants of Services for the Elderly, Inc. Educate the community about the needs of the elderly and disabled and the services available through Services for the Elderly, Inc. Increase the level of community interest and financial support for the agency.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

• Cultivate relationships with individuals and businesses on behalf of the clients and attendants of Services for the Elderly, Inc.
• Assist in achieving the goals of the annual outreach program
• Identify opportunities for publicity and cultivate relationships with the media
• Develop and present annual special event
• Carry out other duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

• Experience and Education
• Fundraising, public speaking or marketing experience helpful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient computer skills with Word and Excel
• Organized and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills
• Enjoy meeting and working with new people
