Mission

The mission of the BHPP is to serve as the link between the community and policymakers at the local, state, and federal level and to assist them in determining and addressing the behavioral health needs of youth with substance use disorders and adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders in Travis County. The goal is to maximize services and resources through the use of effective strategies that will result in a client-focused continuum of care, including services that are:

• Delivered with an holistic approach to care whereby the physical, mental and spiritual health needs of individuals and families are addressed;
• Culturally and linguistically appropriate;
• Age appropriate;
• Family focused; and Consumer driven (with specneeds of clients and familiesconsidered).
