Purpose of Forum

  • Identify additional areas where new, broad collaboration could bring additional advantage in improved health and care

  • For each broad health topic and commonalities that identify advantages

Key Morning Deliverable

Create one alphabetized list of root causes that have popped up repeatedly in your group's exploration and discussions.

Root Causes

Factors, conditions, agents that play a major role in the development or progression of a disease or condition

Seven Categories

  • Biological

  • Physical environment
  • Lifestyle choices
  • Spiritual
  • Psycho-social
  • Health care system

Morning Process

  • List key issues
  • Brainstorm root causes
  • Pick root causes to explore more deeply
  • In-depth analysis
  • Look for commonalities, repetition, overlap

Explorers

The process that we are involved in is much like that of an explorer. An important part of being an explorer is to have the appropriate frame of mind. The following list was developed by the forum participants:
