Travis County Commissioners Court voted on April 22, 2008 to accept RRT's recommendations to 'Ban the Box', moving the question about criminal history off of the employment application and to a later stage in the hiring process.  This policy change demonstrates Travis County's commitment to enhancing public safety by implementing effective re-entry policies that will assist persons with criminal histories transition successfully back into the community.
