Travis County

Over the course of the last year, staff of the Travis County Health and Human Services and Veterans Services Research and Planning have conducted primary and secondary research to produce the 2006-2007 Travis County Immigrant Assessment. This report is rich with local data and incorporates the voices of the many immigrants who participated in the focus groups. United Way Capital Area

The Success By Six initiative, a coalition of public & private partners, recently released the 2007 Report Card on Child Well-Being, which offers an examination of community conditions in the Austin area that affect the development of young children and their early school success. WorkSource

WorkSource is preparing for several employment events including two large job fairs to be held at WorkSource—Career Center North located at 6505 Airport Boulevard: the 3rd Quarterly Job Fair on Tuesday, July 31, and the Bi-Lingual Job Fair on Friday, August, 28.
