Fond Farewell to Fred, Welcome to Vanessa Sarria

The CAN Community gathered at City Hall on February 9, 2007, to say a fond farewell to Fred Butler, CAN’s outgoing Executive Director.   Travis County Attorney David Escamilla (2007 CAN Resource Council Vice-Chair) acknowledged Fred’s many contributions and “heroic” efforts to convene the community to address issues.  Vanessa Sarria, CAN’s new Executive Director was welcomed.   

Fred was also presented a water color painting (pictured on last page) by local artist Pat Bailey which depicts Fred “herding cats”.
